SUVs Dominate List with 11; Toyota Takes Top 2 Spots

When you buy a vehicle, you want that vehicle to perform well and go the extra mile. Vehicle durability is important. It is an essential factor for motorists who rely on their vehicles to transport them to their destinations safely.

Before buying, some people research first on the performance of the vehicles they’re planning to buy based on the vehicles’ rankings and reviews as well as industry reports on vehicle breakdowns and road incidents.

Not all vehicles are built to last despite all the good intentions of their manufacturers. Depending on the situations and conditions they’re subjected to, some of them fail to reach the coveted 200,000 miles on their odometer.

Fortunately, there are vehicle models that can go the distance. Their rankings are backed by a study conducted by automotive research company and search engine iSeeCars.com. The company researched more than 15.8 million car sales in 2019 to identify the models that are most likely to last at least 200,000 miles.

Full-sized SUVs proved to be the sturdiest vehicles based on the study as 11 SUVs were among the 20 top vehicles. The others were four pickups, three sedans, and two minivans.

Toyota accounted for almost half of the vehicles on the list, and its Land Cruiser and Sequoia SUVs took the top two spots. The Toyota Land Cruiser topped the list of 15 vehicles with 15.7% of its sold units registering at least 200,000 miles on their odometers.

The Toyota Sequoia ranked second with 9.2% of its sold units registering the same number of mileage.

Here are the rest of the rankings:

  1. Ford Expedition – 5.2%.
  2. Chevrolet Suburban – 4.9%.
  3. Toyota’s Highlander Hybrid – 4.2%
  4. Chevrolet’s Tahoe – 4.1%.
  5. GMC’s Yukon XL – 4.1%.
  6. Toyota 4Runner – 3.9%
  7. GMC Yukon – 3.2%
  8. Honda Ridgeline – 3.0%
  9. Toyota Tundra – 2.9%
  10. Honda Odyssey- 2.7%
  11. Toyota Avalon – 2.6%
  12. Lincoln Navigator – 2.6%
  13. Toyota Tacoma- 2.5%
  14. Honda Pilot – 2.4%
  15. Honda Civic – 2.3%
  16. Toyota Sienna – 2.0%
  17. Toyota Prius – 2.0%
  18. Chevrolet Silverado 1500 – 2.0%

Ready to Upgrade? Here’s the Best Way to Dispose of Your Old Ride

Whether or not your current vehicle has reached the 200,000-mile mark on its odometer, if it is giving you lots of trouble with its frequent breakdowns and repairs, that’s a clear sign that you need to get that vehicle off your hands and replace it with a new one. If you’re ready to upgrade to a new auto but you’re still unsure of how best to get rid of your clunker, worry not. All you have to do is to donate that vehicle to us at Veteran Car Donations.

When you do so, we will not only provide you with our free professional towing service at your convenience wherever you’re located in the country, but we will also gift you with the privilege of claiming the maximum tax deduction for your donation in the next tax season.

The best reward you’ll get, however, is not a material thing. It’s the priceless feeling of joy and satisfaction, knowing that your donation will be used to give the suffering veterans in your community the decent and dignified life that they fully deserve.

We’ll auction off your donated vehicle and use the proceeds to help fund the health and life-enhancement programs of our veteran-focused charity partners. These IRS-approved 501(c)(3) nonprofits cater to impoverished and neglected former service members who have become homeless for lack of support, those who can’t find decent jobs to support themselves and their families, and those who are suffering from service-connected disabilities and illnesses, including mental health disorders.

Our charity partners provide their beneficiaries with quality health care, financial aid, housing assistance, employment opportunities, family support, educational scholarships, psychotherapy services, and many other benefits.

You can donate almost any type of vehicle, such as an ancient car that has a couple of damaged parts or a truck that no longer runs properly. Trust us, we’re not picky!
