Our veterans faced numerous life-threatening situations on the battlefields when they were still active-duty troops deployed in some war-torn countries. They suffered injuries and wounds from enemy combatants, and many saw horrific scenes of carnage.
Now that they’re back home after the end of their mission and their subsequent discharge, the wounds they got and the nightmarish memories sometimes remain fresh.
Worse, their troubles may not be over. They may face great difficulty if they are unable to find jobs that could enable them to support themselves and their families. Also, it can be a struggle to receive their rightful government benefits. Applications for benefit claims require lengthy processing times. Many are rejected for various reasons.
Some veterans struggle to find jobs due to physical disabilities, psychological disorders, and lack of education and job skills. Some have been forced out of their homes for failure to pay rent and are now living on the streets and sidewalks in our towns and cities, including here in Irving, Texas.

We need to be reminded that these veterans are the soldiers who fought for us to defend and protect our rights and our nation’s security. These veterans are our nation’s living heroes who selflessly served in the Air Force, Army, Coast Guard, Marine Corp, or Navy. But look where they are now.

How Does Irving, Texas Serve Veterans?
Apart from our car donation service, Irving honors and assists its veterans in several ways. Veterans are honored daily at the Irving Veterans Memorial Park, featuring bronze statues of veteran soldiers, walls detailing military branches and war locations, and memorials like the Fountain of Hope and Commemorative Wall of Contemplation. Nearby, the VA Clinic in Grand Prairie provides comprehensive health services, including cardiology and mental health care, to help veterans receive vital medical support. The VA clinic is located at 2737 Sherman Street.
We serve the entire area, including nearby Dallas, Garland, and Grand Prairie.
What Do Veterans Get When I Donate a Vehicle?
At Veteran Car Donations, we support local IRS-certified 501(c)3 nonprofit organizations through our Irving, Texas car donations program. We raise funds to sustain, develop, and improve veteran-directed services. Our mission is to empower our nation’s heroes to experience smooth reintegration into the civilian society.
Our non-profit partners implement programs that offer these services and solutions in Irving, TX:
- Medical care for those who are struggling with post-traumatic stress disorder, traumatic brain injury and other mental and physical problems
- General transitioning assistance for those who were recently discharged
- Job training programs and career workshops to boost the veterans’ chances of employment
- Grief counseling sessions for the families left behind by our fallen heroes
How Does the Car Donation Process Work?
We made our Irving, Texas car donations process easy and simple for the convenience of our donors. Only three steps are needed to donate a vehicle to veterans:
- Get in touch with us.
Call us at (877) 594-5822 or fill out our online donation form to donate a car to veterans. We will need information like the year, make and model of your car, its overall condition, mileage and of course your contact details.
- Schedule your free towing.
We will arrange with our affiliate towing company in your area to pick up your car at your most convenient date, time, and place. The professional towing service is totally free and you don’t even have to be there during the pick-up. We will give you a donation receipt that will free you from all liabilities on your car, thereby allowing you to cancel and stop paying for your car registration and insurance.
- Receive your tax-deductible receipt.
We will send you your 100 percent tax-deductible sale receipt within 30 days after the sale of your car at auction. The receipt will indicate your donated vehicle’s final selling price. This will serve as the basis of your tax deduction claim when you file your itemized federal tax return.

What Type of Vehicles Can I Donate?
We accept nearly all types of vehicles in our Irving, Texas car donations program. Aside from cars, we will also gladly accept your vans, buses, pickups, SUVs, trucks, motorcycles, sailboats, motorboats, fishing boats, yachts, pontoon boats, houseboats, personal watercraft, recreational vehicles, motorhomes, campers, travel trailers, pop-up trailers, ATVs, snowmobiles, motorized wheelchairs, riding lawn mowers, tractors, farm equipment, and even non-commercial airplanes. We accept cars from Chevrolet, Ford, Toyota, and more.
It doesn’t matter if your vehicle is not in running condition, or if it has one or two missing and non-functioning parts, or if it has dents and scratches. In most cases, we will accept those vehicles as well. The only vehicles we cannot accept are those that have been abandoned or stolen or have no titles or proof of ownership. If you’ve lost your title, don’t worry! We can assist you in obtaining a replacement title.
