Can I Donate My Boat Without a Title?

At Veteran Car Donations, we typically require your boat to have a title when donating. However, there are several options you can pursue if you don’t currently have the title. The easiest option is to visit your local DMV or equivalent watercraft registration agency and obtain a replacement title.

You may also be able to establish ownership of the vessel with registration documents, insurance papers, or a bill of sale. However, it’s important to note that many charities require the title in hand when donating. Rules for donating a boat without a title vary by organization and state.
