When winter comes in South Carolina and camping season is over, you rusty old RV will practically be begging you to take part in our South Carolina RV donations. While an RV may be a promising investment, a lot of recreational vehicle owners end up feeling quite distressed when it’s time to cast the old vehicle aside.
Whether it’s because of economic reasons or the RV is just really old and not needed anymore, finding the most convenient way to get rid of it can be daunting. Should you sell it, or should you dump it? Should you give it away?
If you are one of those RV owners, look no further! We at Veteran Car Donations have launched our South Carolina RV donations program, and this offers the perfect solution to your quandary.
‘Why Should I Donate?’
- You can help.
Your donation will be auctioned off, and all proceeds will go directly to charities that work tirelessly for the welfare of our nation’s heroes – the former military servicemen and women who fought bravely to maintain our country’s safety and security.
- You can skip all the hassle of selling.
If you sell an RV yourself, it can take you a long time to find a buyer because, let’s face it, not so many people can afford an RV or need one. Also, selling entails a lot of paperwork and a significant amount of effort — sale fliers, ads, online and newspaper listings, all that jazz to let the world know your RV is up for grabs. All these, plus the possible repair and improvement jobs you may need to make the RV more sellable, require a hefty amount of cash.
- You can avoid extraneous expenses.
Do you really want to keep paying insurance and maintenance for a vehicle you don’t intend to use anymore?
- You can get rid of your RV for FREE.
With South Carolina RV donations, your donated vehicle will be towed away by a professional towing company at zero cost to you.
- You can do it in less than 10 minutes.
The entire donation process is super easy and fast, and you don’t even have to leave your house at all!
- You can enjoy a top tax deduction.
You’ll receive an IRS-approved tax write-off. The tax-deductible amount will depend on your vehicle’s final selling price and fair market value. To give you a general idea, you can check Kelly Blue Book for your vehicle’s estimated value.
How Are the Veterans Doing?
Do you know that when discharged troops return to civilian life, they suffer a lot of adversities? After years of honorable service to our country, many of them battle with depression, mental health illness, unemployment, lack of education, serious physical injuries, homelessness, and lack of basic necessities like food and clothing.
As of 2015, based on the report by the National Alliance on Mental Illness (NAMI), the diagnosis rate for veteran depression was 14 percent. Also, medical records of veterans reveal that 41 percent were diagnosed with either a mental health or a behavioral adjustment disorder. According to the U.S. Military Casualty Statistics, 1,573 veterans have suffered major limb amputations from battle injuries since 2010, and according to the Bureau of Labor Statistics, 453,000 of our veterans were unemployed in 2016.
In South Carolina, Veterans Data Central reported that the state is home to 385,471 veterans and that 7.6 percent were in poverty, 8.6 percent jobless, 19.9 percent with service-related disabilities and 681 were homeless. Life is far from easy for many of our veterans.
How Can We Help Meet the Needs of Our Veterans?
Even as the government tries to address the concerns of our former troops, Veteran Car Donations works to bridge the gaps in services to our veterans that the government cannot fill. We have partnered with the country’s highly regarded certified 501(c)3 nonprofits like Soldiers’ Angels, Serving Veterans Inc. and Heroes on the Water.
We help provide the financial resources to enable our nonprofit partners to deliver the following services to our veterans:
- National mortgage-free, specially adapted housing for seriously injured 9/11 veterans
- Job training and professional mentoring
- Educational scholarship programs and tutoring
- Accessible healthcare facilities
- Mental health services
- Grief counseling for veterans and their families
- Basic needs assistance
- Public awareness drives on our veterans’ accomplishments and why they deserve assistance from the public
With your participation in our South Carolina RV donations, we can continue creating a profound impact on the state’s veteran community. You can donate your RV by calling us at 877-594-5822 today!
